Attorney William J. McClellan has three decades of legal experience across criminal defense and family law. William started out his career in the Office of the Public Defender in Ninth Judicial Circuit which includes Orange and Osceola Counties. He spent almost 11 years there not only trying cases from misdemeanor thefts to capital murder death penalty cases, but also supervising young attorneys in their quest to excel at the practice of criminal defense. Those attorneys have gone on to successful careers as both attorneys and judges.
Upon leaving the Office of the Public Defender, William opened his doors at his private practice in January of 2001. He has continued trying a variety of cases in his criminal defense practice.
The freedom of private practice also led him to extend his practice to family law, which includes all matters of dissolutions of marriage, paternity actions, child support matters, domestic violence injunctions and other family law related matters.
